Overview

This is an enterprise role with primary responsibility for both The Solutions Group and Presbyterian's health and wellness offerings. The Vice President of Wellness will possess deep knowledge and expertise of employer and purchaser needs in health, wellness and employee assistance, guiding The Solutions Group team focused on earning business in this market segment and successfully serving these accounts. Emphasis is placed on the expansion of key relationships across a broad spectrum of local, regional and national prospects. This leader is accountable for creating cross-functional core teams and works closely with Presbyterian Delivery System and Presbyterian Health Plan in order to integrate products and services to create value to purchasers and customers. The role ties into Presbyterian strategy and planning functions and continually evaluates the environment for services and products in which Presbyterian can enhance its offerings and grow revenue over time. This role reports to the PHP Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in related field. Prefer eight to ten years of experience in leadership development, business management and customer service.

  • Knowledge: Requires in-depth knowledge of the delivery of EAP and Wellness services in all business environments with a general working knowledge of all areas of the organization.

  • Abilities: Ability to make decisions that require a high degree of judgment significantly affecting multiple areas of the organization. Ability to exercise almost complete discretion to define and execute activities; involves establishing organizational objectives and defining policy.

  • Physical Power: Walks, sits, stands, arm/wrist/hand movement, lifts.

  • This position is located in New Mexico. 

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of seasoned Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Wellness professionals focused on successfully managing current accounts and exploring opportunities for continued growth and expansion in new markets.

  • Directs the analysis of market opportunities and competitors in order to develop strategies designed to provide cutting edge, evidence-based offerings to current and potential clients.

  • Fosters an inclusive culture that allows for exploration of engaging program design concepts supported by evidence-based research and strategy.

  • Engages key stakeholders in the design and implementation of EAP and Wellness initiatives to manage expectations and achieve shared vision for success.

  • Leads in the development of a systematic approach to program scale designed to allow for expansion beyond geographic boundaries in the sustained pursuit of growth opportunities.

  • Represents Presbyterian at industry, community, civic, and governmental events to promote the brand and develop strategic relationships to foster growth.

  • Leads the business development efforts to increase revenue by leading the sales and account management teams to sell additional products and services through the distribution channel.

  • Partners with the Health Plan Sales team to generate leads, increase the sales for both lines of business and maximize growth for the Enterprise.

  • Remain current on emerging industry trends and best practices to aid in the development of a multi-year strategy for growth and new market penetration.

  • Responsible for deployment of a complex mix of resources necessary to ensure continued maintenance and growth of internal and external client relationships.

  • Collaborates with PMG, service lines and other departments for projects and programs as needed.

  • Develops new programs and services, as care delivery needs change in collaboration with other managers, inpatient administration as well as other members of the CDS Administrative Leadership team.

  • Develops action plans based on critical analyses.

  • Collaborates with the Chief Consumer Officer and VP of Digital Operations to integrate digital tools that will enhance the member experience.

  • Champions continuous improvement and product development activities.

  • Identifies and implements other programs, systems, and products necessary to improve the member/patient experience and grow the business.

  • Mentor and coach direct reports and others to assist with their performance improvement and achievement of departmental and organizational goals, including oversight of budget development and adherence and remove organizational barriers and obstacles.

  • Provides reporting and projections to PHP VP Sales and Marketing in support of strategy formation, budgeting and creating awareness at Leadership Team level.

  • Works with Enterprise Real Estate team to ensure that the EAP offices are maintained and current with best practices that support employee retention and fosters a safe, comfortable patient experience.

  • All other duties necessary to support the growth of the Presbyterian health and wellness brand.

  • Oversight for the development and implementation of operational and financial.

  • Builds and maintains necessary linkages/relationships with PHS personnel and external entities (vendors, consultants, etc.) to facilitate success of all initiatives.
