This role will be a key member of the PDS pharmacy leadership team and serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief Pharmacy Officer (CPO) for the Specialty Pharmacy services. This role will be responsible to lead and own the enterprise-wide strategy development and execution for Specialty Pharmacy initiatives, drive operational excellence, ensure follow-through on key priorities, and foster cross functional collaboration at all levels of the organization. This role will bring demonstrated operations, business development & vendor management skills to be an effective execution leader.

Bachelors degree/PharmD in pharmacy- Required
Active New Mexico Board of Pharmacy license- Required
5+ years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience
Pharmacy budget, strategy development and execution experience
Specialty, retail, PBM, health plan or managed care experience preferred.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic mindset with a systems-thinking approach to healthcare transformation with a bias for action and results.
Strong leadership behaviors with demonstrated business & financial acumen skills, proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented executive able to drive complex implementations.
Deep understanding of specialty pharmacy operations, business development, financial drivers and accreditation requirements.
Knowledge of agile or lean methodologies, data analysis and interpretation and change management to drive efficiency and scalability.
Strategic Execution & Organizational Alignment
Partner with the CPO in leading the design, development and implementation of the Specialty Pharmacy strategy. This includes frameworks that drive execution of the strategy aligned with the Delivery System�s financial, quality and clinical targets.
This role is accountable for Specialty Pharmacy operations and its results, as such - must have strong business acumen, a focus on mission/must do�s, care delivery goals and short/long-term growth plans to include expansion of payer network and limited distribution drug access.
This role will operationalize, drive accountability and track strategic initiatives supporting the above including alignment of goals, management process standardization, timelines, and resources across hospitals, medical groups, and quality. Ensures cross functional alignment for consistent operational execution and accountability.
Owns Specialty Pharmacy budget, key performance indicators and prepares briefings and status updates to inform decisions for CPO and broader enterprise leadership as required.
Accountable for achieving financial targets, driving financial growth, operational excellence, accreditation and regulatory compliance.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Partners closely with CPO, and other executives for alignment and leads overall Specialty Pharmacy activities and initiatives.
Foster a high-performance culture, driving synergies across stakeholders and operational alignment between PDS, PHP and PMG teams.
Partners with PMG and clinical leadership to ensure a seamless specialty pharmacy experience for providers, patients and stakeholders.
Engages payers, providers, manufacturers and other key vendors to drive favorable performance.
